PM to form youth force ‘Corona Relief Tigers’

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is forming a Corona Relief Tigers youth force that will assist the administration combat the mysterious malady caused by Coronavirus. 

According to PM the members of the force will supply food items to people in their houses in case Covid-19 cases sharply rise in a locality. The registrations for the force will begin from Tuesday 31st of March, 2020 via PM Office portal.

PM Imran Khan announced this while talking to journalists after charing a meeting of National Coordination Committee here today. He noted that total lockdown was not feasible due to the fact that a large populace of the country is poor or even living below poverty line.

He said the meeting noted that restriction on inter-provincial movement of vehicles transporting goods was augmenting the agony of general public by causing shortage and thus hoarding resulting into increase of prices of basic commodities.

He informed that all four provinces, AK and GB had decided that there will be no restriction on transportation of goods. Nevertheless, passenger traffic will not be allowed to ply on the roads.  PM further informed that industry allied with edible items will also be free from any kind of restriction.

Announcing creation of a fund for Coronavirus, PM informed that following opening of an account in SBP next week overseas Pakistanis will be appealed for donations.
