ISLAMABAD: PTI has hailed, on Sunday (22nd Dec 2024), the formation of Committee by the Govt on the suggestion of NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to hold talks apropos Imran Khan’s call for civil disobedience if his demands including release of political prisoners and probing 9 May riots via Judicial Commission were not met.

Govt’s 8-member Committee harbours:

1) Deputy PM Ishaq Dar,

2) Adviser to PM Rana Sanaullah Khan,

3) Senator Irfan Siddiqui,

4) Raja Pervez Ashraf,

5) Syed Naveed Qamar,

6) Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,

7) Aleem Khan;

8) Chaudhry Salik Hussain.

It may be recalled that Chairman PTI Barrister Gauhar called on NA Speaker Saturday (21st Dec 2024) night maintaining that talks were the only way to figure out a solution to the current stalemate. He asked the speaker to play his role in this regard.
