KARACHI: During a recent meet-up at the residence of Zulfiqar Halepoto, the Quaidians [old students of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad], called for the establishment of a sub-campus of their prestigious Alma-mater in the port city.
The alumni emphasized the need to provide quality higher education to students in the city, particularly those who face challenges in accessing educational opportunities in the capital.
In addition to their educational appeal, the Quaidians offered heartfelt condolences and prayers for the departed souls of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Syed and Syed Iqbal Hussain, the husband of Sheher Bano. They paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Aslam Syed for his invaluable contributions to the academic community.
The gathering underscored the strong bond of alumni with their QAU, with many calling on the university administration to consider the expansion as a step towards regional exclusivity in higher education.
