ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said on Thursday that India has been violating fundamental human rights in occupied-Kashmir using ‘black laws’ and the report on missing Kashmiris has exposed Indian atrocities in the region.

Regarding Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s meeting with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on the sidelines of multilateral meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Bishkek, the spokesperson remarked that Mr Qureshi would himself comment on the matter.

In a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Dr Faisal strongly condemned the killings of 14 more Kashmiris at the hands of Indian army.

He stated that there could not be any change in the status of Kashmir without plebiscite in the territory as per the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people.

The spokesperson denounced Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders.

“India instead of misleading international community on Kashmir dispute should accept ground realities and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.”
