Showing compassion towards others is the key to happiness!

AIMAN INAM

CHICAGO: In this demanding yet cruel world, it is a tough task to discover happiness for ourselves.

The state of affairs is going downhill gradually. In this scenario, what should we do?

Well, endeavor to show some compassion towards others. That’s what asserted savants in their latest breakthrough!

Compassion is when you endure the sufferings of others by demonstrating your sympathy and kindness towards people.

Experts believe that compassion is the key to cope with hard times. Sympathetic folks tend to have intense associations with others.

Also, they are more merciful and have held a strong wisdom when it comes to the purpose of life.

This ability could make individuals content, healthy, self-confident, satisfied, pro-social as well as flexible.

Also, it makes you strong enough while going through difficult phase of your life. However, it takes practice and patience.

You can do a common exercise known as the Loving Kindness Meditation. Sit comfortably in a silent room. Pay heed to your breath and try to clear your mind.

Then psychologically concentrate on your heart and consider apropos someone you feel compassion towards such as spouse, mom or child etc.

Hold those constructive thoughts for a while and widen that same feeling to your own self. Again after a couple of minutes, expand that feeling out to someone you are not closed to.

Then little by little add more people in that circle and continue this process for around 15 to 20 minutes.

This might be difficult initially but if you focus, it could do wonders. In addition, by doing this, you will be able to accept your shortcomings easily.
