ISLAMABAD: Responding to Media queries here on Friday (2nd Jan, 2025) apropos Pakistan’s stand on Taiwan, FO maintained that It is an inalienable part of China.
FO stated: “Pakistan and China are iron-clad friends and all-weather strategic cooperative partners. We reiterate our consistent support to China on all matters of its core interests, including Taiwan. We will continue to adhere to the One-China principle and regard Taiwan as an inalienable part of China.”

Military of China had informed on 30th Dec, 2025 that as part of the 48-hour drill, Justice Mission 2025, it has deployed its naval destroyers, frigates, fighter planes, bombers, drones, long-range missiles to simulate seizing control of Taiwan and fired rockets towards the Island on the 2nd day of the exercises.
Deciphering the significance of Justice Mission 2025, Spokesperson of the Eastern Theatre Command of China, Shi Yi, told that the drill simulated a blockade of Taiwan and its major ports (Keelung and Kaohsiung), seizing control of airspace, striking critical infrastructure, mobile ground as well as maritime targets.
US President, while insinuating that China would not invade Taiwan, told the journalists that he had “great relationship with President Xi, and he hasn’t told me anything about it...I certainly have seen it … I don’t believe he is going to be doing it.”
Earlier, in the month of April (2025) too, while Trump was occupied transforming USA into a Mercantile state, by means of Tariffs, Chinese Military was conducting joint exercises, involving its army, navy, air and rocket force, around Taiwan.
Chinese military, referring to the US Defense Chief Pete Hegseth’s statement about countering Chinese Aggression, said: “It is a stern warning and forceful deterrence against ‘Taiwan Independence’ separatist forces, and it is a legitimate and necessary action to safeguard China’s sovereignty and national unity.”
Joseph Wu, secretary-general of Taiwan’s National Security Council, took to the X to maintain: “It came without justification, violates international laws and is totally unacceptable. Democracies need to condemn China for being a troublemaker”. China did not inform about the duration of the exercises.
China on Wednesday (31st Dec, 2025) appreciated the supporting stand taken by Pakistan, Russia and Venezuela. Answering to Japan and other countries that criticized the Chinese move, Beijing held: “These countries and institutions are turning a blind eye to the separatist forces in Taiwan attempting to achieve independence through military means...
“Yet, they are making irresponsible criticisms of China’s necessary and just actions to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, distorting facts and confusing right and wrong, which is utterly hypocritical...We want to reiterate China’s unwavering resolve for safeguarding national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity. Any egregious provocative act that crosses the line on the Taiwan issue will be met with a firm counter from China.”
