ISLAMABAD: Following the receipt of threatening letters (laced with mysterious powder) addressed to all the 8 judges of IHC (including CJ), on Tuesday (2nd of April, 2024) a FIR was registered at CTD here on the complaint of Duty Clerk Qadeer Ahmad.

IHC duty clerk stated that 8 letters were received, a day ago, addressed to all the 8 judges. The said envelopes were dispatched on Tuesday (2nd April, 2024) and received by personal secretaries of 8 judges.

The case has been registered against unknown culprits u/s 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) of the PPC and Section 7 (punishment for acts of terrorism) of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Commenting on the Threatening Letters, the JC of IHC maintained: “Basically the high court has been threatened!”
