Tribesmen lauds CM announcement for age, education’s relaxation in govt jobs

PESHAWAR: The tribesmen of merged tribal districts here on Wednesday lauded the announcement of Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regarding relaxation in age and education in government jobs and termed it a positive commitment of the government.

A tribal elder of Khyber district, Asghar Afridi said in an interview that the CM has won hearts and minds of thousands of tribesmen by announcing age and education relaxation for tribal people.

“The students’ education was affected due to militancy and terrorism in tribal districts
in the past and relaxation in age and education for government jobs would immensely help overage students to fulfill their dreams come true,” he said.

The CM KP on Tuesday visited South Waziristan where he announced a mega package including creation of 17,000 new vacancies, recruitment of 6,000 persons in police force, spending of Rs one billion on welfare of youth projects, distribution of 500,000 Sehat Insaf Cards and allocation of Rs10 billion for rehabilitation activities.

Afridi said this mega development, socio-economic and health projects package would usher a new era of progress and development besides accelerate pace of economic development in the tribal districts of KP.

The other tribal elders also hailed the announcement of the CM and termed it a positive commitment of the provincial government towards bringing tribal districts at par of development parts of the country.

They said that government’s decision to extend Sehat Insaf Cards facility to tribal districts would help provide quality free treatment to ailing patients besides saving their money and time while going to Islamabad, Peshawar and other major cities for treatment.
