Two IAF fighter jets crash, one pilot killed

NEW DELHI: A Sukhoi Su-30 (carrying 2 pilots) and a Mirage 2000 (operated by one pilot) belonging to Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed after colliding in mid-air while drilling South of the Capital on Saturday (28th of January, 2023) claiming life of one pilot.

According to details both the fighter jets commenced their journeys in the morning from Gwaloir Air Base (in Madhya Pradesh) and crashed while performing the routine operational flying training mission.

The authorities, who are attempting to figure out the reason behind the tragedy, informed that one pilot sustained fatal injuries while other two, found injured in the Padargarh forests, have been rescued by IAF chopper.
