MANHATTAN: According to UNSC report TTP is the largest terrorist group in Afghanistan that is being supported by Afghan Taliban and factions of Al-Qaeda network.

UNSC stated that there were 24 terrorist outfits in Afghanistan but with 6500 fighters TTP is the biggest of them all that operates with the blessings of the Taliban regime.

The UNSC report, (updated until 28th May, 2024) has noted that TTP carried out 573 attacks in 2021 against Pakistan, 715 attacks in 2022 and 1,210 in 2023.
