PESHAWAR: Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, who was re-elected the JUI-F Chief for 5 years on Sunday (29th Sept, 2024), terming the current parliament as fake said: “We want fresh election!”
Talking to journalists at a Presser held here on Sunday, he said that the present government lacked a real mandate. “This parliament does not deserve this huge constitutional amendment.”
On 14th Feb, 2024 too Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman had refused to accept the outcome of the 8th Feb General Elections.
Stating that JUI-F’s Central Committee had expressed reservations apropos ECP, Fazl-ur-Rehman said that the top electoral body’s role in the 8th Feb polls was suspicious.
Claiming that global anti-Islamic forces had pressurized those at the helm of affairs to inflict defeat on JUI-F, he said that the party was unacceptable for USA and the West.
Nevertheless, JUI-F Chief declared that his party would play its role in the parliament and invited PML-N to sit with JUI-F in the opposition.
Asserting that the ‘election results clearly showed that bribes were taken’, he said that the ‘rigging’ in 2024 overshadowed that of 2018.
According to him 9th May narrative was seemingly buried if the establishment reckoned 8th Feb polls fair.
