Fazl-ur-Rehman Rejects 8 Feb Election Results

ISLAMABAD: Talking to journalists at a Presser held here on Wednesday (14th Feb, 2024) JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has rejected the results of the 8th Feb General Elections.

Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman stated that the Central Committee of JUI-F met on 14th Feb and rejected the results of the 8th Feb polls results. JUI-F’s Chief, informing that the Central Committee of the party had expressed reservations apropos ECP, said that the top electoral body’s role in the 8th Feb polls was suspicious.

Claiming that global anti-Islamic forces had pressurized those at the helm of affairs to inflict defeat on JUI-F, he said that the party was unacceptable for USA and the West. Nevertheless, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman declared that his party would play its role in the parliament and invited PML-N to sit with JUI-F in the opposition.

Asserting that the ‘election results clearly showed that bribes were taken’, he said that the ‘rigging’ in 2024 overshadowed that of 2018. According to him 9th May narrative was seemingly buried if the establishment reckoned 8th Feb 8 polls fair. Cynics insinuate since JUI-F bagged only 4 NA seats and 18 PA seats in KP and Balochistan, he is only attempting to save face.
