Iran replaces air defences damaged during 12-day-war

TEHRAN: Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, regular army’s deputy for operations, has stated that Iran has successfully replaced the air defences that were damaged by Israel during the 12-day-war, last month.

It may be recalled, while Iran managed to hit strategic targets in Israel by means of missiles and drones, Tel-Aviv, with the assistance of NATO and USA, bombarded its air defences: “The Zionist enemy sought to destroy Iran’s defence capabilities, and some of our defence systems were damaged in this war; But with the efforts of my comrades, the damaged systems were replaced and deployed in predetermined locations,” Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi stated.

While US President Donald Trump has been insisting that American sorties at Fardow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites obliterated Iran’s program, savants at the helm of affairs insinuate that the centrifuges used to enrich uranium were moved before the attack.

Pentagon claimed that the attacks had degraded the Irani nuclear program by a couple of years. But head of IAEA, Rafael Grossi, stated on 28th June that Iran could make bombs in a short time as it has the capacity to commence uranium enrichment in few months.

According to Rafael Grossi, contrary to Trumps’ claims, the 13th June attacks on three sites, did not totally obliterate Iran’s nuclear installations: “… one cannot claim that everything has disappeared and there is nothing there!” He further said it had the capacity to commence uranium enrichment in few months.

Earlier, the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran informed that it would stop cooperation with IAEA until the security of it’s nuclear installations are guaranteed. Commenting on the development, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf accused IAEA of putting its global credibility up for sale.

IAEA had pulled its inspectors from Iran following its decision apropos stopping cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog.
