Army Chief inaugurates National University of Technology

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa inaugurated the National University of Technology (NUTECH) on Wednesday (today), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in statement.

The army chief visited various departments of the university and appreciated the administration for commencement of classes in a short span of two years.

Talking to the teachers and students, the COAS said the purpose of the NUTECH is to create leaders of character for industry and skilled workforce for economic development of Pakistan.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa ensured full support for the completion of its future main campus which will accommodate 30,000-50,000 students. He lauded the concept of the NUTECH being “University for Industry”.

The COAS also acknowledged FWO for support in establishing initial campus for NUTECH within Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI) premises.
