Drone attacks in Pakistan against national sovereignty and integrity: COAS




ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday warned the United States that drone strikes in Pakistan must stop now.

Talking to media persons at Parliament House, COAS strongly reacted to these attacks and said that these attacks are against national sovereignty and integrity and Pakistan will not allow to use its soil for drone attacks.

General Raheel said that Pakistan Army is committed to root out terrorism from the country. He said that operation Zarb-e-Azb is in the final phase and the army has gained 90 percent success in the operation.

 “We’re committed to bring back peace in Pakistan,” he said, adding that the process requires a national resolve against terrorism.

Army Chief further said that Pakistan Army will not let the terrorists return to the country and disturb the peace.

When asked about the F-16 deal with U.S, COAS said that Pakistan is serious about the F_16 deal with America and Air Chief is also in contact with Washington.
