KARACHI: Central Naib Amir of JI Liaqat Baloch has said on Wednesday (14th Feb, 2024) that it would not accept PTI’s offer to form government in KP only while MWM had been invited for coalition in Punjab and Center.
It is pertinent to mention here that a day earlier Central Information Secretary of PTI Raoof Hasan proclaimed that Imran Khan had approved of a coalition with two parties.
Raoof Hasan said that PTI would form a coalition with the MWM in the Center and Punjab and a coalition with JI in KP for the reserved seats.
Central Information Secretary of PTI further informed those were Imran Khan’s decisions and they would implements them.
“We have already begun work on them,” Central Information Secretary of PTI Raoof Hasan added.
Taking to the X (Twitter) JI informed that Liaqat Baloch, it’s Central Vice-President, while talking to the Markazi Mushawarat and the Media, has said that after the 8 Feb, 2024 polls PTI leaders contacted JI.
Liaqat Baloch confirmed that JI and PTI agreed on a common strategy in the new situation.
He told that JI Amir had consulted with the Central Leadership and formed a Committee harboring Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim (JI Chief for KP) and his Deputy Inayatullah Khan.
The duo discussed the post-polls-scenario with Barrister Gohar Khan (Chairman PTI), Ali Amin Gandapur, Umar Ayub Khan and Mohammad Azam Khan Swati.
PTI was informed that JI had major concerns about the 2024 elections: Changing the election results and reversing the results forcefully was a disgrace and a dirty game for democracy which would harm the country and democracy.
Nevertheless, JI welcomes those who were elected by the voters.
JI told that PTI leadership finally sent a message that they wanted cooperation only to the extent of KP.
Liaqat Baloch said that after consultation, JI informed PTI that cooperation at the national level between the two entities would be in national interest.
However, since PTI had changed its stance, it may cooperate with any party it likes to in KP, JI would not accept only the Provincial cooperation.
