Senate Polls Postponed in KP

ISLAMABAD: Provincial Election Commissioner, on the request of the opposition, has postponed the Senate polls in KP till the administration of oath to the 25 members returned against the reserved seats.

In the federal capital, Ishaq Dar, relative of the incumbent as well as former (three-times) PM is attempting to grab a technocrat seat beating SIC/PTI’s Raja Kamran.

For the general seat in Islamabad, PPP’s Rana Mahmood-ul-Hasan and SIC/PTI’s Hussain Shah are facing each other.

Voting is in progress in Punjab for one woman, one technocrat and a seat for minority (lady based in the Province).

In the province of Sindh 19 candidates are attempting to grab seven general, two women, two technocrats and one non-Muslim seats.

The results will commence emerging once the voting process concludes at 4 PM.
