However, talking to journalists at her residence, Kashmala Tariq claimed that her son, a Police guard and a driver were travelling in a black Toyota Fortuner and not the 4-wheeler that hit the Suzuki.

Kashmala Tariq insisted that she was travelling back to Islamabad from Lahore at 10:45PM on Monday when the collision occurred at G-11 signal. She said she and her husband were travelling in the white Lexus that was being driven by her driver: “As we reached the Kashmir Highway, we experienced a sudden shock and push and got injured. The driver was unable to control the car. It was a terrible accident.”

According to the FIR lodged at Ramna police station, five men were travelling in a Mehran that was hit by a Lexus driven by Kashmala Tariq’s son. It is evident from the CCTV footage that not only the driver of white Lexus was over-speeding (well above the 80km/h limit), the red light was also jumped (while other vehicles could be seen static).
